NEW AWNING MEANS MORE TIME SPENT ON THE PATIO

After 14 years in their Kings Langley home, Ferdi Pacelli and his partner decided it was time to address the glaring sun that disrupted their patio meals. Having previously worked with SWR Doors & Awnings on their garage door, they reached out again for help finding the perfect awning.

After a consultation, we recommended the Markilux 990—a compact, full-cassette awning ideal for smaller patios. Its sleek design fully protects the folding arms and cover, and its adjustable settings offer complete control. Additional features like LED lighting and sensors can be added for extra functionality.

During installation, we reinforced the awning with Crocodilla spreader plates for safety and added a Vibrabox wind sensor for automatic retraction in high winds. Now, the couple enjoys shaded al fresco dining at the touch of a button, and they wonder why they didn’t install it sooner!
