Nestled in the charming village of Hazlemere, Buckinghamshire, this exceptional family home offers large outdoor spaces and is within walking distance of beautiful countryside. The owner, Richard Hotston, a classic car enthusiast, has three spacious garages dedicated to his collection.
One of these garage doors, like the classic cars within, had reached an advanced age and was ready for an upgrade. After seeing several options in the showroom, Richard selected the Hörmann RollMatic door. This roller shutter design opens vertically, rolling up into the garage’s ceiling to maximize interior and exterior space.
Crafted from corrosion-resistant aluminium, the RollMatic door offers a durable alternative to wooden doors. While Richard liked the look of wood, he opted for a powder-coated brown finish that resembles wood while retaining the durability of aluminium.
The door was back-fixed to preserve the full width of the opening and to allow the garage’s original piers to remain untouched. The RollMatic door includes convenient remote operation, with the unit installed outside the sectional cladding for easy maintenance.
The installation team removed the old door and fitted the new one on the same day, leaving Richard thrilled with both the product and service provided.
